Even the Romans appreciated its beneficial effects!
The steam bath or Roman bath (Caldarium) has meanwhile been established all over Germany. With a pleasant temperature between 35°C and 55°C on average, a steam cabin of ceramic, synthetic material, wood or marble can reach almost 100% of air humidity.
Steam baths have a relaxing and regenerating effect on your body (metabolism). The combination of health-beneficial extracts by steam output - f. ex. eucalyptus against colds - does enhance the regular repetition of about 15 minutes 2-3 times per week.
Steam bath cabins, mostly made of steam proof aluminium (odourless, fireproof) for home users require little space, similar to infrared cabins, and can even be installed as single steam baths the size of a shower cabin or as a combination of shower/steam bath.
For interior fittings, special wood or well-established aluminium profiles as well as artificial stone for comfortable chairs or backrests are being recommended. It is important to bear in mind that an articulate technology will produce a pleasant climate and avoid puddles of condensate water due to multi-nozzle steam evaporations and circulation airing.
