Sitting and resting
Classical sauna furniture consist mostly of heat resistant and soft, long-lasting natural wood. Seats and benches are in most cases already firmly integrated/installed inside the sauna cabins and thus provide for optimal hold.
Open systems allow for more creativity and comfort but do however require more space: There are for example ergonomically pre-cast seats and benches available on the market, which can be adjusted to several levels - individually tailor-made to physical needs. So-called rocking beds / deckchairs have a relaxing and soothing effect - those are also available with ergonomic backs.
In steam-baths, low-maintenance sanitary acrylic (synthetic material) or natural stone are often used. Frequently, a regular warm temperature is being guaranteed due to integrated heating systems.
Accessories
Particular accessories for comfortable resting or seating are formed wooden pillows and/or wooden wedge, backrests/supports, foot wedges, knee-and vein wedges etc.
For more comfort there are now special heat resistant synthetic pillows, coco mats with terry cloth covers and lots more.
Rests
For the rest periods between the sauna sessions we recommend comfortable and selected special resting furniture: resting beds (f. ex. made from wood)
- Resting beds that can be tilted (for example out of synthetic material - air permeable)
- Warming bench
- Warming bed (to be connected to the domestic heating system or electric)
